Visualization of the Evacuation Process Including People with Heart Diseases

AbstractProblem of conducting safe evacuations is complicated. When people are in foreign environment, they usually are not interested in the placement of furnishes in the facility or evacuation plans. Often, even in well-marked rooms, they are unable to indicate places where the fire extinguisher or AED device is located. During dangerous events such as fires or floods, they panic, which is making it difficult to safely leave the dangerous zones. Therefore, systems which can inform people about escape routes and how to move in a way that allows safe and efficient exit from the hazardous areas are essential. During the creation of such a system, there must be taken into account many factors such as: the type of threat, the impact of the obstacle on escape routes, a safe distance between people, the pace of movement, the flow of information between witnesses of the event, minimizing injury to participants. Presented solution allows crowd simulation, taking into account people with various heart diseases and establishing a safe way to evacuate.
