Ocena wpływu faz rozrządu silnika pojazdu Formuła Student na charakterystykę zewnętrzną

AbstractModern automotive branch despite the high influence of electrification in vehicle powertrain systems still uses the combustion engines in most. For that reason the Cerber Motorsport team being a part of Students’ Science Club Auto-Moto-Club, has chosen such an engine for the upcoming Formula Student series starts. The article is focused on the air-fuel mixture charge exchange system of the high-speed, internal combustion engine with spark ignition. The Engine and Drivetrain system is one of the most restricted by the Formula Student Rules. That is why the engine team is working on the best as possible engine performance. There is a lot of different methods to reach the target, one of them is precisely the valve timing modifications. Research of the different camshaft settings was proceeded in the specialized software. The results were compared to the theoretical knowledge and finally, the most beneficial modifications were provided on the constructed CMS-06 Formula Student vehicle. After all, the measurements at the chassis dynamometer were done and compared to the computational results. The final vehicle verification will be executed at the ready vehicle test phase. Then the Cerber Motorsport team will be fully ready to start in international Formula Student series in Italy, Hungary, Germany and the Czech Republic which will be held between July and August 2019.
